The Legendary Barn Door Restaurant and South Forty Catering Company


	The Legendary Barndoor Steakhouse is an icon in West Texas. We have been serving up great food since 1963. Guests love to watch their steaks being cooked with a charbroil grill in the center of the dining room. Our decor is, well, "The most elegant barn in West Texas." Our red-and-white checkered tablecloths add to the casual theme. You can hear the sound of that good ol' country music in the background as you slice your own cheese from a huge block served when you arrive. The "Legendary Barndoor" is a meeting place where many business deals are done. Someone said the other day we can always tell how well the oil and gas business is by the business at the Barndoor. Our mission at the Legendary Barndoor Steakhouse is to feed you the best food in West Texas, give you the best service, and make you feel right at home. We have won many awards including: The Best Steak, The Best Restaurant, The Best Special Occasion Venue, The Best Chicken Fried Steak, The Best Wait Staff, and The Best Bread. The Barndoor is very involved in our community, we donate many gift certificates, time, and money for the community that supports us.

	The Historic Pecos Depot was purchased in 1972 and opened alongside the Barndoor in 1973. The Depot is known for its great atmosphere with a 27' solid mahogany bar from a house of ill-repute, antiques, train memorabilia, and "Billy" our famous ghost. Ask any member of the staff to tell you "The Billy Story."
